award winning concept
We’re combining glass and metal – that are essentially different materials – to form an ultra-thin stainless steel or titanium overlay with the glass surface to create a mirror effect while retaining transparency. Our efforts were celebrated in 2013 when an&angel won red dot’s design award. Our deco collection was praised on its innovative technologies for coating glass.
distinctive and unique
Our technology is based on treatment of the material in high vacuum environment where metal is transformed into a fog, which due to gravity lands on the surface to be coated, and on the final stage is burned by plasma rays. This method provides a consistent ultra-thin, high-quality stainless steel or titanium coating. The stainless steel and titanium are also food-friendly and do not oxidize.

Artis Nimanis devoted years of experimentation in his Latvian studio developing an innovative, and exclusive, method for combining glass and metal. His technique is a treatment of the material in a high vacuum environment where the metal is transformed into a fog and allowed to naturally settle on the glass surface, and as a final stage is burned in with plasma rays.
